al-Faluja was a Palestinian Arab village in the British Mandate for Palestine. The village was situated on hilly terrain, 30 kilometers northeast of Gaza and was bordered by Wadi al-Faluja to the east north and west. al-Faluja was the hub of several main roads leading to Hebron, Jerusalem, Jaffa and Gaza.

Exclusive Jewish colonies on town's lands, Qiryat Gat (founded in 1954 on a looted land and it's the current location of Intel's FAB 18 semiconductor manufacturing plant), Shahar, & Nehora.

1947 - 1949 in what became Israel the Jewish troops uprooted 850,000 – 950,000 Palestinians from their homes, seized approximately 80 percent of Palestinian land, creating a refugee crisis that is still not resolved. Palestinians call this mass eviction the Nakba — Arabic for “catastrophe” —

Our tears of hope will never dry and when we return to our homelands from ashes, trees will rise high and white doves will over fly and we’ll caress with our bare hands every precious berry of sand. This dream might not happen soon but it absolutely will one day.

For the first time since 1948 the children and grandchildren of the refugees can see their homeland from which their fathers were expelled. When they tried to return in 1948, they were shot dead as ‘infiltrators’.

Now the fathers, mothers and their children can see Palestine as it was in 1948. They can fly over it, but only in preparation for the day when they will actually walk over its soil and recover their patrimony.

Christmas is celebrated 3 times each year. The first of which is December 25th, per western tradition, followed by January 6th per Greek Orthodox tradition, and finally on January 18th, as per Armenian tradition.

Ramadan is a holy month in Islam which includes fasting from sunrise to sunset. Because the majority of Palestinians are Muslim, Palestinian businesses adjust accordingly.

Palestine is known for some of the most beautiful wildflowers in the world, popping into the existence mostly in April and May. These include irises, jonquils, wild poppies, and other vibrant species of flowers which paint the colorful hillsides during a short spring season.

There are several species of large wild animals in Palestine as well! These include foxes, mountain gazelles, Nubian Ibex (a desert-dwelling species of goat), wild boar, wolves, jackals, leopards, hyenas, and many types of migratory birds as well!
